How the converters work
Text and data conversions run on the 4Dev server: your data is converted in memory and sent straight back, it is not stored, and each request is limited to 5 MB. Image, video and audio converters work entirely in your browser, so those files never leave your device.
Every converter has its own page with a worked example, answers to common questions and links to related tools. If you are not sure where to start, open the data converter: it reads 19 input formats in one place and can detect the format of pasted text for you.
