Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you use 4Dev.net (the "Website"). We've tried to write it to match exactly what the Website's code actually does, not generic boilerplate.
1. Data You Submit to a Tool
When you use a converter or tool (for example, pasting JSON to convert, or entering a currency amount), that data is sent to our server only to perform the requested operation, and is not written to a database, log file, or any other persistent storage. It is discarded once the response is sent back to your browser. We do not read, retain, sell, or share the content you process through the Website's tools.
2. No Accounts or User Profiles
The Website does not offer account registration and does not build user profiles.
3. Cookies and Analytics
4Dev.net uses a few cookies of its own to remember your language and your cookie choices. See the Cookie Policy for the full list, how each is set, and how to control them.
Google Analytics - only with your consent. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, the Website loads Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to produce aggregate statistics about how the site is used: pages and tools visited, how visitors arrived (for example, from a search engine or a link), approximate country, and device and browser type. It relies on a random identifier stored in a cookie, not on your name or email address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and nothing you type or paste into a tool is sent to it. Google may process this data outside your country, including in the United States - see Google's Privacy Policy. This processing is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded.
Cloudflare Web Analytics - no cookies. The Website is hosted on Cloudflare, and Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled for it. On every page, Cloudflare adds a small script (static.cloudflareinsights.com) that reports the page address, the referring page, the browser and device type, approximate country, and page-load speed. It does not set cookies, does not use local storage and does not assign you an identifier, so it cannot follow you across visits or onto other sites; it does not receive anything you type or paste into a tool. The data is used only for aggregate statistics about traffic and site speed, based on our legitimate interest in understanding traffic and keeping the site fast. Advertising - Google AdSense. The Website shows ads served by Google AdSense, a Google service. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad script receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you are viewing, and cookie or similar identifiers. It never receives anything you type or paste into a tool. Whether ads are personalised depends on your choice: visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked through Google's consent message (a consent platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework), and ads are personalised only with the consent given there; everywhere else, ads are personalised only if you click Accept on the cookie banner, and otherwise only non-personalised ads are requested. Non-personalised ads may still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregate reporting and fraud prevention. Google may process this data outside your country, including in the United States - see how Google uses data from sites that use its services and Google's Ads Settings. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings.
4. Server Logs and IP-Based Language Detection
Like virtually any website, the underlying hosting infrastructure may generate short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, requested URL, and timestamp) for operational purposes like debugging and abuse prevention. These are standard web server operations, not a feature built into the Website's own code, and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
Separately, on your first visit (before the lang cookie above is set), the Website uses a coarse, country-level signal derived from your IP address - provided directly by our hosting network, not stored or logged by the Website's own code - to guess which of its supported languages to show you. Only the resulting language choice is kept (in the cookie); your IP address or country itself is not retained anywhere by the Website.
5. Third-Party Requests
Certain tools call third-party services to function - for example, live currency/crypto rate providers, or a CDN serving a JavaScript library your browser needs. See the Third-Party Services and Advertising Disclosure page for the full list.
4Dev.net's own code does not store your data or keep logs of what you submit - that commitment covers everything we build. It does not extend to the third-party services and APIs some tools call, or to off-the-shelf libraries and components embedded in the Website: those operate under their own providers' data practices, which we don't control and can't guarantee. If a specific third party's own privacy practices matter to you, check that provider's own policy directly.
6. Children's Privacy
The Website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If the Website's data practices change - for example, if analytics or advertising is introduced - this Policy will be updated accordingly, and the "Last updated" date will reflect that.
