What the Markdown to HTML Converter does
The Markdown to HTML Converter turns Markdown text into clean HTML: headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, links, images, lists, block quotes, code spans and fenced code blocks.
It follows GitHub-flavored Markdown, so tables, task lists and strikethrough work the same way they do on GitHub and GitLab. Headings get id attributes generated from their text, which lets you link straight to a section. That lets you build a table of contents with internal links without writing the ids yourself.
When to use it
- Publishing a README, changelog or release notes on a website or in a CMS that expects HTML.
- Writing an HTML email or newsletter in Markdown, then pasting the generated markup into the email template.
- Checking how a Markdown document renders before committing it; for a live side-by-side view use the Markdown Previewer.

Common questions about the Markdown to HTML Converter
Does it support tables and fenced code blocks?
Yes. Pipe tables become <table> elements and ``` fences become <pre><code> blocks, with the language name kept as a class so a syntax highlighter can pick it up.
Does the output include <html> and <body> tags?
No. You get an HTML fragment that can be inserted into an existing page or template. Wrap it in your own document if you need a stand-alone file.
Is raw HTML inside the Markdown kept?
Yes, HTML written inside the Markdown passes through unchanged, as it does on most Markdown renderers. Review content from untrusted sources before publishing it.
